As well as planting and pricking out and tending titchy tiny seedlings, and getting our wee Food bank Garden up and running, we're working on all Good Things Bee - ey. Work is afoot for our Blooming Bee Friendly Day in the local town in June, posters being drawn up, plants and compost being begged, borrowed and um...made...our target? 100 Bee Friendly Homes in Hayle, proud stewards of either a bee hotel, a bee cafe, or both. BugLife and the Bumblebee Conservation Trust are sending us lots of leaflets and info to hand out, and over the next couple of weeks we're going to be cutting up A LOT OF BAMBOO of an evening for the bug hotels. Secateur-related RSI here we come - but all for a good cause..:)
