a forest garden ... or food forest ...
Perennial vegetables....a dream come true. The gift that goes on giving. That combined with a no dig garden...truly, we are pigs in poo.

So. These are some of the perennial veg we plant in our garden - either have done already, or have ordered from the marvellous Martin Crawford, or the opulent Otter Farm...and we can't wait to see what the next few months will bring in terms of transforming our splendidly mulched woodland garden beds into a riot of abundance. Watch this perennial space.
When we have our own specimens to photo in all their new green splendour, we will use our very own photos of stuff we have growed with our very own soil. In the meantime, these are images of what our planting efforts WILL look like. Next year. Or sometime after that.

Each of the photos below take you through to either Martin Crawford or Otter Farm, as above; or to the very excellent Plants for a Future website, which gives a full run down of precisely how fabulous each of these specimens is: medicinal use, food use, habitat use, and planting preferences. 'Cos we ll have a preference as to what bed we end up in, don't we?
