Eco-nomics.

It means "management of our place".

Eco-logy?  Means "knowledge of our place".

That's Greek for you. They were brilliant.

But by some staggering sleight of hand, we have sliced in two the fundamental relationship between those two words, and now no longer not only see them as intrinsically unlinked, but actually (what a feat) in direct opposition to each other.  Cue dysfunctional, uber - destructive, counter - productive, mathematically ridiculous neo-classical economic paradigm of our day.  I could say more. But these people underneath will say it all much, much better.
Kate Raworth. Short, gobby female economist. Love it. :)
The Prof. Brilliant.  I bet you'll watch this more than once.
And even us ornery folk are getting stuck in...'cos when it comes down to it, we're all economists...!

Just like this guy. And he rocked the world of lots of other "capital E" Economists.... we like that. Rock on, Thomas.
And here are lots of the "why"....compellingCharles Eisenstein.

And this is one *everyone* can understand....and want to show someone else. Genius. Are you a solutioner?
